Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the purchase of registration tickets for the Education Funfest (the "Festival") conducted online via the Kwenda.Co platform. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Registration & Ticket Purchase
● Ticket Availability: Festival registration tickets must be purchased online through the official Kwenda.Co platform designated for the Education Funfest or through approved physical outlets. Tickets are subject to availability. Early registration is advised.
● Accuracy of Information: It is your responsibility to ensure that all information provided during the registration process (e.g. student name, contact details, payment information etc) is accurate and complete. Incorrect information may lead to invalidation of the registration.
● Payment: Full payment of the registration fee, as displayed on the Kwenda.Co platform, is required at the time of purchase. Payment methods accepted will be those offered by Kwenda.Co.
● Confirmation & E-Ticket: Upon successful payment, you will receive a digital confirmation and an e-ticket (via SMS, email or WhatsApp, as per Kwenda.Co's system). This e-ticket serves as proof of registration and must be presented for entry to the Festival. Please keep it secure, the festival organisers shall not be responsible for loss or damage of tickets.
2. Festival Participation & Entry
● E-Ticket Required: Entry into the festival will require a valid e-ticket (on a mobile device or a printout) presented at the Festival entry points for verification. Each e-ticket grants admission to one registered student only.
● Age Streams: Students will be assigned to specific age streams based on the age provided at the festival entry points. Participation in activities outside their assigned stream may be limited due to capacity and curriculum relevance.
● Supervision: The Festival will provide general supervision for all participating children during designated activity hours. However, parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child's safe arrival and timely pick-up from the Festival grounds/venue.
● Registration Fee: The festival registration fee is MK50,000 (Fifty Thousand Malawian Kwacha) per participant. The registration fee covers all festival educational and social activities including food, drinks, water, sanitation and first-aid. No outside food or beverages will be allowed on entry.
● Code of Conduct: All participants are expected to adhere to the Festival's code of conduct, promoting respect, safety and positive engagement. The Festival organizers reserve the right to remove any participant whose conduct is deemed disruptive or unsafe, without refund.
● Prohibited Items: The possession and use of harmful substances such as firearms, knives, sharp needles, fireworks, broken glasses and other weapons is strictly prohibited. Visualsense Communications reserves the right to conduct searches at the festival entry points.
3. Refunds & Cancellations
● All Sales Final: Festival registration tickets are non-refundable once purchased.
● Exceptions (at Festival's Discretion): Refunds may be considered only in exceptional circumstances (e.g. documented severe illness preventing attendance, provided notification is given before the Festival commences). All refund requests must be made in writing to events@visualsense.africa and are subject to the sole discretion of the Festival organizers.
● Festival Cancellation: In the unlikely event that the Festival is cancelled in its entirety, registered participants will be offered a full refund of their registration fee. And in the event of postponement, tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date.
● Changes to Programme: The Festival reserves the right to make changes to the programme, schedule, or activities due to unforeseen circumstances or to enhance the educational experience. No refunds will be provided for such changes.
4. Data Privacy
● Data Collection: Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for Festival registration, communication and statistical purposes.
● Kwenda.Co's Privacy Policy: By using the Kwenda.Co platform, you also agree to Kwenda.Co's Privacy Policy, which outlines how your data is handled by their service.
● No Sharing with Third Parties (unless specified): Your data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
● Media & Photography: By purchasing the festival registration ticket, you consent to having your child/children/students filmed, photographed, or recorded for promotional or archival purposes. Any unauthorized professional photography, drone use, or commercial recording is prohibited unless pre-approved by Visualsense Communications.
5. Liability
● Waiver: By registering a child, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept that participation in Festival activities carries inherent risks. The Festival organizers, Visualsense Communications, and Kwenda.Co will not be liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from participation in the Festival, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
