Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales to lead our sales strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality sector and a proven track record of driving revenue growth. This role requires a leader who can build partnerships, manage high-performing sales teams, and expand our reach across markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Kwenda’s sales strategy for events, accommodations, and travel services.

• Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries.

• Identify and secure new business opportunities to drive platform growth.

• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to align sales strategies with company goals.

• Analyze sales performance, provide reports, and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).
Proven sales leadership experience, preferably within travel, tourism, or hospitality.
Strong network and understanding of the travel and tourism market in Malawi and the region.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
